# Sabbi

> Sabbi teaches people in Buea, Cameroon how to import goods from China safely, and lets them place import orders through verified suppliers with tracked shipping and secure payment.

Sabbi is a dual-purpose product: an education platform and an import marketplace. Users learn how importing actually works, then order real products from suppliers who have been checked before they are allowed to sell. Tagline: "Learn to import. Shop with trust."

## Product

- **Learn**: free and paid courses at Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Lessons are video, text, or downloadable PDF. Instructors (for example "Import mentor," "Logistics specialist") have named bios. Courses can be grouped into guided learning paths.
- **Shop**: browse verified suppliers and place import orders. Every order is tracked through five stages: Order placed, Shipped, In customs (cleared in Douala), Out for delivery, Delivered, each with an estimated delivery window.
- **Trust & Safety**: suppliers are checked before they are allowed to sell on Sabbi. Payments are held by Sabbi until the order is confirmed; if a supplier fails to ship, the buyer gets a full refund.
- **Payments**: MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money, auto-detected from the buyer's phone number. Card payment is planned but not yet available.
- **Delivery**: door-to-door delivery in Buea. Pickup-point delivery in Douala and Yaoundé.
- **Community**: a directory of real WhatsApp groups for traders, not an in-app chat feature.
- **Languages**: English, French, and Cameroonian Pidgin (Kamtok).

Sabbi's course catalog and ordering system are used through a companion app, built as an installable web app (PWA) at [app.sabbiapp.com](https://app.sabbiapp.com). Native iOS and Android versions are planned from the same codebase. App Store and Google Play listings are not yet published; links will be added here once available.
